What is period-proof swimwear?

The perfect alternative to tampons, period-proof swimwear creates a water-resistant barrier that helps keep water out and period blood in. Even when completely wet, the ultra-absorbent layers pull moisture and blood away from the body, so you can swim with confidence when it’s that time of the month!

How does period-proof swimwear work?

Our range features an innovative three-layer gusset that gives you secure wear riding waves in the ocean to soak in a plunge pool. Firstly there is a comfortable, thin and discreet absorbent layer that absorbs any blood or discharge. This layer can absorb 10 times it weight in under 2 seconds. 

The absorbent layer is supported by a waterproof layer that works to ensure water doesn’t get inside. Finally, there's a moisture wicking layer for additional leak-proof protection. All of this gusset protection is super thin and discreet so you won't have any bulk or bulging and it dries super-fast. 

We safeguard the swimwear fabric by making it water repellent, this helps repel water from entering the gusset area. Ensure you have a snug fit (no loose areas) when buying and first trying on your swimwear.

What do I do before use?

Before dipping into the beach or pool, wash your swimwear before your first wear to activate the absorbent InnovSwim® technology fabric fibres.

How do you wash the absorbency layer?

During the washing process, the water can easily pass through the absorbency layer since the swimwear is not tightly fitted to the body. This ensures effective cleaning without compromising the absorbency layer's performance.

What sizes are available for your period-proof swimwear?

Our period-proof swimwear ranges from sizes 6 to 18 in ladies and size 8 to 16 in teenage. Designed to conform to your body and offer a flattering, secure fit, you will surely find an option for every body type. Do you offer returns & exchange?

We want you to be 100% happy with your Azure Belle swimwear and offer a 30 day happiness guarantee. If your new item is not quite right we have the following return options available (in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law):

• All full price items can be returned for either an exchange, refund or store credit.
• Warehouse, discounted or sale items can be returned for a store credit or exchange only. 

How do I care for my period-proof swimwear?

To preserve your period-proof swimwear and ensure you get the most use out of them, follow our wash and care instructions:

• Wash prior to use — Before dipping into the beach or pool, wash your swimwear to activate the absorbent InnovSwim® technology fabric fibres.
• Rinse after use — The salt and chlorine in water, as well as sunscreen and other body oils, can tarnish the fabric. Rinsing them before changing will help preserve their integrity and design.
• Wash — Wash them in your normal clothes wash with cold water and avoid fabric softener and bleach.
• Dry off — Line dry your period-proof swimwear without overexposing them to the sun, which could fade their colour over time.

Can I wear period-proof swimwear if I don't have a period? 

Yes. Many of our Azure Belle gals love the flattering fits and supportive wear our pieces give them on and off their period. Providing the perfect amount of coverage while helping you feel comfortable and confident as you relax on a sun lounge, enjoy a dip in the pool or ride the waves at a beach.

Please ensure you follow the wash and care instructions. Independently tested by international laboratories, our range is certified for 6 mL absorbency , equal to a tampon and larger than a pad.

Do you offer any kind of warranty or guarantee for your period-proof swimwear?
