A Life-Changing Journey

Hi, I’m Bryley, a Melbourne mum of three and the founder of Azure Belle.

Azure Belle was born from a life-changing season. During my third pregnancy, everything shifted. At just 20 weeks, my unborn son was diagnosed with a life-threatening condition. I underwent emergency in-utero surgery, and he was later born prematurely and critically unwell. He spent seven weeks on life support, and I waited three long weeks just to hold him for the first time. After 148 days in the NICU, we finally brought him home.

Like many families who’ve walked a similar path, that experience reshaped what truly mattered to me, my health, my family, and how I wanted to show up for my children.

Motherhood changed me in many ways, but one thing surprised me. Even as a confident woman, I still felt held back by my period. I dreaded swimming with my kids when I had my period. The options felt uncomfortable, bulky, or wasteful, and none of them suited real beach days, pool days, or family holidays.

And yet, swimming is part of Australian life. I didn’t want to sit out. I didn’t want my daughters to sit out. And I knew there had to be a better way.

So in 2022, I created Azure Belle.
